    FUN AND LEARN ART GROUP

They meet every Wednesday at the LINC Inc site under the directorship of Cathy Nesbit

The Institute of Human Development and Disability, from the University of Georgia, is making a documentary film about people with disabilities in loving relationships. The purpose of the film is to address the social stigma that seems to be associated with these relationships. We want to educate, inform, and entertain people with stories that show couples with disabilities in relationships just like any other: involving romance, struggle, passion, compromise, frustration, beauty, and of course, love. We want to show how these relationships can enrich and fulfill life, and hope that this will help break down taboos surrounding these relationships. To find out more, please contact us!

"The main point is that hearing people are able to communicate ASL with each other. It is a great to educate hearing people about ASL. Hearing people do not realize that it is a huge advantage for them to use ASL in many different ways."
